AUTHENTICATION

A certification can be provided for:

  • Private (e.g. agreements, power-of-attorney) and official signatures

  • Transcripts and copies (stating that original and copy are identical)

The person requesting certification services must provide proof of identity (e.g. passport).

The Consulate does NOT provide translation services.

The accuracy of a translation is NOT the responsibility of the Consulate.

The Consulate is NOT to be held liable/responsible for the content of a document.

Fee Schedule

Some of the services provided by the Austrian Embassies and Consulates are subject to fee, the Law on Consular Fees (Konsulargebührengesetz 1992) being the legal basis.

The Appointment

In order to certify the authenticity of the signature you need to sign the document at your appointment. We will verify your identity and certify the signature.

Note: if you don’t have all the requirements on the day of your appointment you will have to schedule a new appointment. NO COPIES can be made at the consulate!
